Leaping Tiger is probably the best choice for Martial styles, the combo attacks move the character forward, keeping pace with retreating enemies and forcing them back into walls or other obstacles. The strikes are fast enough to prevent counterattacks, and the constant forward motion makes it easier to avoid being surrounded. The reach, especial from the third strike, makes facing opponents with weapons easier as well. The power attack, while dealing less damage than other martial power attacks, has the unique property of causing the player to leap and hang in midair while charging the attack. Opponents do not compensate for this. This means that any short opponent, such as the Cannibals and Sung Bu in the Arena, cannot strike the Player. It works well against some weapon-wielders too, although not against spear or longsword wielding opponents, who comprise the vast majority of armed enemies. Further, it can be used against the rare opponent who also uses Leaping Tiger: when they use the power attack, do the same. They go up, you go up, they come down and miss, you come down on top of them.

With the vigor and speed of the animal for which this martial style was named, Leaping Tiger dazzles onlookers even as it carves up opponents. Practitioners of this Martial style focus so completely on the strength and quickness of the tiger that razor-sharp claws seem to sprout from their fists. The style's quick, leaping techniques and punishing strikes create a flurry of death that can keep even armed opponents at bay.
This style can complete a Harmonic Combo.
